Initial Consultation: With your help, Red Door will gather information about your home, its condition and any recent updates or additions. We will discuss your real estate goals. Listing Appointment: A Red Door agent will meet with you at your home to take a look at your property, answer any questions you may have, discuss our listing plan and how we will market your home. Signing the contract: Choosing the right brokerage to market and sell your home can make all the difference. Red Door real estate is confident that after meeting with our agents, the decision will be easy. You can sign any necessary listing paperwork with confidence.
Pre-Listing Activities: Your agent will work with you to prepare your home to hit the market. Offer Negotiations: Your agent will lay out all the details of the offer and guide you in your decision to accept the offer, counter the offer, or reject the offer. Once accepted, Red Door will coordinate the home inspection and any negotiations that may follow. We can suggest an attorney to represent you on the negotiation of the purchase and sales contract and assist you with the closing.
Loan Process: Once the purchase and sales contract is signed with a buyer the mortgage process begins. The lender will order an appraisal of your home to determine the value. The lender will work together with your real estate agent and the buyer to finalize any paperwork required to close the loan.
Prepare for closing: Sellers should take this time to prepare for the closing, pack for and schedule movers, etc. A final walkthrough of the home is completed right before the closings and it is the sellers responsibility to have the home prepared for the buyer and in broom swept condition on closing day.
The Closing: At the closing the buyer and seller will sign documents to mak the sale official. The closing may take place at the attorney’s office or at the Registry of Deeds . Once signed, the deed must be recorded at the Registry of Deeds. At that point, the title is transferred to the new owner and the property is officially sold. You will then hand over the keys to the new owner.
